Antes de firmar oficialmente con una casa disquera, Yound lanzó independientemente dos álbumes; Of June en 2007 y Maybe I'm Dreaming en 2008. Ambos álbumes lograron ubicarse entre los 20 más populares en la lista Billboard de álbumes de electrónica.
