Марди-Гра
Originally a French term for “fat Tuesday” or “Shrove Tuesday”, Mardi Gras is celebrated as a day of exuberance before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. Practices can include dressing up and enjoying a carnival, eating fatty foods, sports competitions, parades and so on.
