The salary (or base pay) provided to an employee as expressed in a given frequency, such as annual, monthly, weekly or hourly. Fixed compensation is typically set or changed on a periodic (usually annual) basis. Each employee usually has only one active fixed compensation record, but an employee who is paid in multiple currencies or frequencies can have more than one.
