Cold blooded animals
As the name suggests, cold blooded animals, such as reptiles, fishes, and amphibians, are animals that have cool blood running through their bodies. Unlike warm blooded animals that maintain the same temperature all the time, no matter what the air temperature is, cold blooded animals have variable temperatures which are influenced by the temperature of their surroundings. As such, cold blooded animals don't have to eat large amounts of food, or have layers of fat, feathers or fur to keep their body temperature. Cold blooded animals are generally sluggish in cold weather because of their low body temperature.
