Desert View Vagttårnet

Konstrueret i 1932 af Mary Colter som en replika af en forhistorisk indiske tårn og fremstillet af Santa Fe Railroad, kommandoer Desert View Vagttårnet en storslået udsigt over Grand Canyon, Painted Desert mod øst, San Fransico toppene mod syd, og Colorado-floden ned under. Denne 70 fod (21 meter) tårnet er det højeste punkt på South Rim. De indvendige vægge af tårnet har kalkmalerier af Hopi kunstner Fred Kabotie.
